The Bernie bump is over
A new poll puts popular support for socialism back at where it was in 2016.
Popular support for socialism has dropped six points over the past two years according to a new poll by Pew Research. Today, only 36% of Americans say that they view it positively. That’s well within the margin of error of similar polls conducted back in 2016, and appears to mark the end of the modest surge in support for socialism that accompanied the presidential campaigns of Bernie Sanders.
