Why they condemned socialism

The name still matters.

Today, in a bipartisan landslide, the House voted 328-86 to denounce “the horrors of socialism.” Republicans supported the resolution unanimously, of course. So did a majority of Democrats, including Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and progressive icon Ro Khanna. The only opposition came from a small flank of Democrats, among them the Squad.
