Earlier this year we walked through some local polling showing that Ukrainians are ready to negotiate. Then at the top of this month, Gallup made waves in the US by reporting the same thing: only 24% of Ukrainians are willing to fight until the war is won. That’s a bit higher than the 11% we reported in February, but the upshot is clear either way. Support for continuing this war is plummeting in Ukraine — and in perverse contrast to the US, where it has climbed to an all-time high.1
